About Me

I'm a marketing communications professional from Johnson City, NY (just outside of Binghamton). I've lived in the Binghamton area almost my entire life, with the exception of attending Syracuse University for four years. I was laid-off from my job as a Copywriter at the local newspaper in December 2008 and continue to look for my next job. When I'm not job hunting, you can find me riding around town on my bicycle, taking photographs with my digital camera, riding horses at Pleasant Hill Stables, or practicing my skating (in the winter) at the Broome Community College ice rink. I also enjoy reading, being outdoors, gardening, watching movies, traveling, and working on my web site. I'm single with no kids or pets, so I have lots of free time these days!

I began this web site in 2001 as a way to find a job after college. Back then it had my resume and portfolio - and not much else. Since then it's evolved into more of a personal web site where I can share my photos, travels, experiences, and opinions.

Work Life

Having been laid-off from my position as Copywriter for the Central New York Newspaper Group (owned by Gannett) in December 2008, I am back on the job market and currently seeking a position in copywriting or marketing communications. I also worked at  Horizons Federal Credit Union as a Marketing Coordinator and United Way of Broome County as a Communications Assistant. My skills include writing, editing, proofreading, desktop publishing, and print and web design.

I am currently the publicity co-chair for the Communications Association of the Southern Tier (CAST), and have held a number of community service roles in the past, including Team Captain for the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life and Area Manager for United Way of Broome County's Day of Caring.
